Workplace violence among nurses of a teaching hospital

Introduction: Workplace violence is a significant issue in the health sector with high prevalence. among nurses an alarming and fundamental human rights its negative impacts on as well organizational achievement. This study aimed to explore workplace nurses.
 Method: Cross-sectional design total enumerative sampling technique was used find out prevalence of 402 teaching hospital Lalitpur, Nepal. Data collected by using “Workplace Violence Health Sector country case studies research Instruments” from September 2019 November 2019. Collected data were analyzed based objectives Statistical Package for Social Science version 16. Descriptive statistics prevalence, types violence, perpetrators, socio-demographic information.
 Result: The 227( which verbal abuse 215(94.5%), physical 40(17.6%), sexual harassment 9(4%). Among 107(40.53%) done patients’ relatives, 77(29.16%) patients, 64(24.24%) staff, 16(6.06%) management.
 Conclusion: high. Verbal dominant type followed harassment. main perpetrators relatives. Management also found be perpetrator small fraction violence.
